Ramblings

Hi,

Still don’t quite believe that I’ve fallen for this.  I have been very against joining Facebook, Twitter or any of the other “new age” sites.  One of the main reasons is who wants to know what a “normal/average” lady living in SA has to say.  Well S-Man (aka my better half) says that “you’ll be surprised about what people want to read about.”

Today I’ve decided to give you a bit of background into me (aka The Child Bride) and my family.  I’ve been dubbed The Child Bride by S-Man and his followers and suppose it is rather appropriate.  Not quite a child anymore but suppose one doesn’t always grow up the same as everyone else-I’ve never really thought myself as normal.  We’ve been happily married for 19 years-WOW quite a feat in this day and age. ( Yes, that is the word “happily”).

We have 1 child (Brat Deluxe) still living at home.  He is lucky enough to have his cousin (Knucklehead) also staying here.  They are both still at school and tend to keep me on my toes.  Needless to say it is extremely handy owning a restaurant with 2 very hungry, growing teenage boys in the house.  No need to ever look around for any guinea pigs to try out new recipes etc.

Thank goodness my biggest passion in life (other than a good giggle) is running and keeping fit.  S-Man is always into something new and there is never a dull moment in our house.  I’m rather scared to sit still for a couple of minutes cos he would more than likely turn me into something or feed me to his fish.  As for giggling-yes I do loads of that.    I’m sure that is why I’ve taken to running and not cycling-have you ever tried to ride while laughing? it doesn’t work, you tend to land on the ground with a bike around your middle!!

I also enjoy great food and wine.  On that note it’s time to say “Cheers” and get the rest of that bottle.
